WARRANTY


WORKMANSHIP 
Subject to the terms and conditions outlined here, Warm Ways warrants to the original purchaser that Warm Ways doors and door systems are free from manufacturing defects due to workmanship in the production and assembly of finished door systems for five (5) years from the date of purchase.

HARDWARE 
Warm Ways guarantees that the original hinges and striker will remain free from rust and corrosion for ten (10) years.

STEEL PANELS 
The manufacturer warrants the door panel against defects in material and workmanship, including thermal bowing and delamination, for ten (10) years from the original installation date. This warranty applies provided the door is correctly installed and none of the stated exclusions apply.

Door Slab Warping 
On a 79″ door, thermal bowing of less than 1/4″ (0.25″) along the full vertical length of the slab is acceptable. The temperature differential between outside and inside should not exceed 40°C. Distortions within the criteria of standards CAN/CGSB-82.5-M88 and AAMA/CSA/101/I.S.2/A440-05 are considered acceptable.

FIBERGLASS DOOR PANELS 
The manufacturer warrants fiberglass door panels against defects in material and workmanship, including thermal bowing and delamination, for twenty-five (25) years from the original installation date. The warranty is valid if the door is properly installed and exclusions do not apply.

Door Slab Warping 
On a 79″ door, thermal bowing of less than 1/4″ (0.25″) is acceptable. For a 95″ door, thermal bowing of less than 1/4″ is acceptable. The temperature differential should not exceed 40°C. To process a warranty claim, defective slabs must be inspected and verified upon return. Painting the door slabs (metal or fiberglass) shortly after installation is recommended.
Exclusions: • Doors modified for size will not be covered unless custom-sized from the factory. • Internal humidity exceeding 35% in winter voids this warranty if warping is the issue.

DOOR GLAZING UNITS 
The warranty for glazing units aligns with the manufacturer’s terms:

Warm Ways will cover “reasonable” labor costs, as per the current “Dealer Service Costs” schedule, to replace defective sealed units for one (1) year from the purchase date.

COMPOSITE DOOR JAMB 
The composite door jamb material is warranted against defects causing rot, corrosion, delamination, or excessive moisture swelling for twenty-five (25) years from the purchase date. Users are responsible for ensuring the product’s suitability for specific applications and adherence to local building codes. Using harsh abrasive cleaners voids this warranty.

LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS 
Warm Ways’ liability is limited to replacing defective products and does not cover labor, installation, freight, taxes, or related charges unless specifically stated. Installation, repainting, or refinishing associated with replacements is the purchaser’s responsibility.

EXCEPTIONS TO LIMITATIONS
Warm Ways may choose, at its sole discretion, to repair or replace products beyond the warranty terms on a case-by-case basis. This does not imply acceptance of liability.

NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR 
This warranty does not cover routine wear, weathering, or abuse of components such as door sweeps, hinges, and weather stripping, nor does it cover routine maintenance.

EXCLUSIONS 
Warm Ways does not cover damages resulting from:

Accidents, neglect, or improper use;
Building movement or structural changes;
Damage during transportation or improper installation;
High humidity, water damage, or extreme weather;
Application of artificial temperature modifiers or unapproved finishes.

VISUAL DEFECTS OR DAMAGE 
Defects or damage must be reported within thirty (30) days of installation.

STANDARDS FOR VISUAL INSPECTION
Viewing: Inspect from a minimum of 10 feet under normal lighting conditions;
Scratches: Light scratches not felt with a fingernail are acceptable. Heavy scratches are subject to rejection;
Painted Doors: Paint is warranted against flaking, chipping, cracking, or peeling for ten (10) years;
Fading due to harsh environments or southern exposures is excluded;
Laminated Products: Adhesion is covered for life, while fading is warranted for ten (10) years;
Stained Components: Stain is warranted against flaking, chipping, or peeling for ten (10) years Fading due to exposure is excluded.

FILING A WARRANTY CLAIM 

To file a claim, contact the dealer or representative where the product was purchased. Provide the following:
Customer name and address;
Original invoice copy;
Pictures of the defect and surrounding area;
Submit all information to Warm Ways Customer Service Defective products may need to be returned for inspection. Upon verification, Warm Ways will arrange replacement or repair.

REMEDIES 
If products are deemed defective, Warm Ways may:
Repair or replace the product at no cost;
Provide a replacement product;
Offer a refund or prorated reimbursement Replacement materials are subject to availability and may vary in appearance. The warranty on replacements continues for the remainder of the original warranty period.

TRANSFERABILITY
 This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

TIMING 
Warm Ways strives to address claims promptly. Claims may require review by dealers, representatives, or manufacturers.
